Greetings from Rayne Elise!

Greetings everyone!

I hope you are all doing well today. I know it has been a while since my last post. To my new followers, welcome! Here is a quick description of me: I am a simple woman with a lot of stories and experiences. This is my version of navigating the interworking of my mind and piecing things together. This is about my discovery and healing. I am not a perfect person, but I am real and unique. Everyone has always told me to write if I do nothing else in life. I also view the world differently than most. I really do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. This is my story.

With everything happening in the world today, I hope you all continue to lead with kindness. We are all battling something. Most of us do not speak about those battles. Believe it or not, I keep a lot of what I am facing to myself. I do speak about a lot of things with certain people, but not everything. No matter what, I am kind to people. I try to be for others what I wish people were for me. Anne Frank once said that “in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.” I always agreed with this quote.

Kindness is important to me because I feel the world would be a better place if we were kind to one another. In no way am I telling anyone to be mistreated or taken advantage of because they are being kind. It costs nothing to be kind.

I pray things improve within in our nation. The cost of living is outrageous due to our troubled economy, and we are all struggling to survive. No matter your political affiliation or opinions, we are all affected by the choices made by the collective government. As I am writing this post, I am listening to 2Pac’s “Changes.” We should come together to fix this instead of fight about who is right or wrong in the situation. Stay encouraged everyone. We will be all right. All I am saying is that it is time to be honest with ourselves. We need to remember the humanity and principles that this country was founded on. I said what I said. It is not up for debate. We can agree to disagree.

Today is my birthday. If you believe in astrology, I am a proud Libra. Happy birthday to all my Libras. I believe in balance and fairness. I am grateful for making it another year in the land of the living. I am also grateful for the outpouring of love I received. My phone has rung nonstop. I received tons of text messages. My Facebook page, LinkedIn, and Messenger have messages I have not checked yet. I am grateful to everyone in my circle who made my day special. I could not have asked for a better group of people. I am fortunate. Every day above ground is a good day. I lost so many people, and I think about many of them often.

I am enjoying a much-needed work vacation. I rarely work on my birthday because I treat it like a national holiday. Trust and believe, I have my reasons for it. The past several months has been rough There have been so many obstacles which were difficult to deal with. Mentally and physically, I am exhausted. I am going to rest and use this time off to clean and organize my house. I am never home which prevents me from doing so. My house isn’t terrible. I acknowledge I need to spend more time focusing on me and things I need to do and less time on everything and everyone else.

This week made me think long and hard about a lot of things. I have come a long way, and I am truly blessed. I have been in a relationship for approximately     6 months, which is going well. After my last relationship ended, I did not want to be in another one. I did not want to experience the pain I endured. This relationship is different and refreshing. It is one of the most organic things I ever experienced. From our first meeting, we instantly clicked. We connected on so many levels. It is also likely we met in the past without realizing it. This relationship has opened me up to the prospect of marriage. Every relationship has its good and bad. While we are similar, we have a lot of differences. We jumped into things headfirst, which was one of the best decisions I made on one hand. Now we are learning more about each other and how to best serve the other. I am a huge music lover of all genres. One of my favorite songs is “No Pain, No Gain” by the late, great Betty Wright. There is a lyric I think of often which is, “I was learning my man, while I was earning my man, which is something you young girls don’t understand.” Nothing has been truer about this relationship. Relationships are about putting in the work to build something real. It is not perfect, but it is a great dynamic. After speaking with a friend today, I realize parts of it might even be healing my wounded inner child. That is a conversation for later.

Everything happens for a reason, and I am grateful for each experience whether good or bad. I have learned so much over the years. I have grown in leaps and bounds that I did not expect. For instance, I hate driving with a passion; however, I am always driving. I am slowly rebuilding my endurance after multiple car accidents and road trauma. Now I must get better with highway driving. I am going to help my niece learn how to drive. Pray for us all. In many ways, every experience shapes us to be better people. They make us stronger.

I advocate for myself more now than ever. I speak my mind more. My words are not always received; however, the truth shall set you free. I am at a point in my life where I no longer care how people feel. I am honest. Now, I am learning tact. Sometimes, I can be the issue. I am trying to figure out when that is the case for me to regroup. I am not above admitting that I am sometimes wrong. I have one friend in particular who calls me out on my crap. We need people like that. We all need accountability. This year, I plan to look more inward for improving myself. I will extend more grace and kindness. Here to another year of life, love, discovery, and growth. I thank you all for being apart of my healing journey.

Lastly, stop the violence and vote. Spread love and not hate.

Peace and blessings,

❤ Rayne Elise ❤
